 Anchored by Cliff and the resurrected Chief, the Doom Patrol took on members such as Rebis, a hermaphroditic merging of Larry Trainor and his physician, Eleanor Poole, Crazy Jane, who suffered from multiple-personality disorder and had a different superpower for each persona, Dorothy Spinner, a freakish apegirl with the power physically manifest images from her subconscious, Rhea Jones, a mutant who can manipulate Earth's magnetic fields, and Danny the World, a sentient transvestite planet that serves as the team’s headquarters. The Doom Patrol faces such nontraditional threats as the Beard Hunter, Shadowy Mr. Evans, and the Men from N.O.W.H.E.R.E.
